The Geel Community Services team, which includes our administrators, executive staff, program directors, case managers, visiting counselors and support staff, is among the best and brightest in New York City.
Welcome to the new and improved Geel website. We hope you find it informative and inspiring. You should know that this presentation is the creation of our direct care staff who are not only deeply involved with supporting, and encouraging, people who are trying to leave homelessness behind them but also believe deeply in bringing Geel’s vision of service to a larger community.
As you will see, our housing services are built around engagement and empowerment wrapped in a culture of trust and dependability and we depend totally on a staff to bring that vision into the lives of the people we serve.

As the Executive Director, I am proud to lead an organization that is deeply committed to transforming communities through our specialized housing and support services that provide self-sufficiency, self- worth, recovery, and independence for those we serve. Our mission is to enable people with mental illness and co-occurring disorders to establish and maintain safety and stability in a supportive living environment.
At Geel, we believe in the power of support and resources to change lives. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that our tenants are placed on a path toward independence. We are passionate about providing individuals not just housing environments, but safe, stable places to call home and reliable, dignified, hands-on supportive services.
